I bet that thing will be over $100 in a week.
More like over $300 :(
For second hand...?

Mind you I wouldn't mind paying $1000USD for a NIB model with all of it's packaging and books/cable provided as well ;) .

The previous black square logo industrial model M in Germany was sold for less than $200. It was missing back label though.

My desire for one has decreased significantly since getting one of the Unicomp NOS industrial cases (sorry, covers). It's not quite as good as an original, but the parts inside are effectively identical, and it has the right esthetics.

I wanted to make an offer for the industrial black badge German Model M, but later changed my mind.
In the end it went for 145€.

So im starting to wonder how do you guys find these so quickly? are you just getting lucky? or do you have some automated way of doing so?

$500+ for a 5251 is far from "lucky." Also that board was first posted on this site for $900+ before the seller went the eBay route.

There was one that sold for $75 just the other day, though - luck level: maximum.

You can save a search in eBay and get notifications for them... But as //gainsborough mentioned, some luck is required.

Those notifications are not real-time. Extreme luck is required as deals like this can go in less than a minute. One time I did a eBay search before bed and nothing good came up. I immediately hit the search button seconds after the first search and holy smokes a beamer shows up for a steal. When this came up I wasted no time reading or looking at all the pictures. I consider it extreme luck, especially since at the time I had dsl which was not reliable.

I see guess I have to start trying harder lol

As I tried to stress in my ebay buying guide - when you see a good deal as "Buy-It-Now" then just push the button!

Scrolled past this so often, and only now realised that it probably is magnetic reed instead of F&F

My brain just can't make logical sense of that arrangement. I don't know if I could ever become accustomed to it.

IK love how the down arrow is NOT the key that's on the lower point, too xD .

If I hadn't just spent basically all my spending money and shipping was not $100 I'd have picked that up xD .

Square-badge XT model M with UK layout (1389969), $99 BIN. Square-badge UK models don't turn up very often; I should know, it took me a pretty long time to acquire mine! This one is from March 1986, so it's a very old one to boot.

Anyone see this blue behemoth?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Vintage-Ge ... 0011.m1850
"George Risk Industries" reed switches.

I bought one from this guy yesterday, because I have more money than common sense, but...
http://www.grisk.com/products.php
GRI is still around, and apparently makes switches, AND custom keycaps :o
I want to see how much it would be to get a set of safety yellow caps for the big blue box.

I am not sure yet how I'm going to convert this thing... I'm foreseeing a lot of cut traces and hand soldering... There's plenty of room in there!
