Wait one second...I had some Gen 1. SKCM Green (i.e. SKCM Brown) and I just sold those for a few hundred bucks. Earlier generations are typically better or at least as good, yes? Something about this math doesn't check out...

In all seriousness though, I agree: I prefer SKCM brown to SKCM green. Although, I will say SKCM green are somewhat unique insofar as their tactile leaf. SKCM green have a tactile leaf unlike any other SKCM switch that we know of, and it creates a very unique feel, albeit similar to SKCM brown. A lot of people say it feels like Topre, which I personally don't agree with (though, I've only tried 45g topre boards), but I will agree that it is a different feel than other tactile alps switches. For the people who like SKCM brown but feel they are too heavy, I could see why SKCM green would be a popular choice for them.
SKCM brown is still superior, IMO.

It's a Parallel Universe for all those caught up in the Hype for anything linked to Click Clack. I've seen keys which you could of bought for $16.00USD when first released all those years ago NOW selling for $300+Dingster wrote: ↑300$ piece of plastic, cheaper to get an SSK..... That one for sale on Flebay is the exact one (same colour) I have, installed on an IBM Keyboard. YES, I was once a pathetic Click Clack Collector some years ago, that is my greatest shame.
Talk about a decent investment outlay and eventual pay off .

Must be a flat rate on shipping for the SSK. I'm 60 miles away from the seller and it's still $30 shipping.

It's not even an actual keyboard you can use. It will take up precious space. If you plug it in the magic white smoke will come out.

Wait...it sold for 765$!?!? What the actual fuck indeed.
Seriously, several entusiasts who have a rare keyboard and is not wading in money is probably contemplating putting it up for auction given all these crazy prices we are seeing. Props to people like wodan and webwit who sell gear at humane prices within the community when they obviously could have made a TON of money on ebay.
