Medical fullsized with what appear to be Fujitsu Peerless switches. Based on the interface it looks like it needs an intermediary box.

If these were Peerless switches, I wouldn't pay $10 for it. However these are Fujitsu leaf spring switches which should prove a nice switch for someone.

Fujitsu Peerless are actually very nice, when new or near new. I've never tried a heavily used board - there seem to be issues with stabilisers, but on the two I have, there is no binding, and the key travel is incredibly smooth.

You ought to do it. Boards that I don't really want to sell, I just put on eBay for a price I wouldn't feel bad selling it for. Who knows, someone might actually bite at that price.

Are you planning an auction with a reserved price?
From what I saw in the last couple weeks, if the auction starts high, it won't sell.

I thought about it, but I think reserve auctions charge an additional fee based on what the reserve price is. But only if it sells. Putting a high reserve would be the safest way to test the market though, haha.

That's very true - I'm hoping being NIB makes it a bit of an outlier. I saved the draft for the listing and I'll take a my time in deciding whether or not to actually list it officially, haha.

I once had over 40 Peerless boards, ranging in quality from new to buried in the mud for 30 years and all of them were terrible.

In my experience, a reserve tends to kill bidder enthusiasm. Most of the reserve auctions I've watched end below market value, with no successful bidder.

My main fear is putting it up with a low starting bid and having it end at something like $500. I would definitely prefer to keep it in that event. The other option I thought about is just putting a BIN with offers enabled.

BTW I fully expected someone to voice their disappointment with this idea and that being the end of the conversation. I didn't intend to clutter up the G/I thread with eBay talk. I appreciate all the advice I've been given, though!

Are you for real? Haven't you've seen and witnessed the CURRENT price fury for anything linked to an IBM keyboard especially your model in particular?

Old beemers NOW fetch a very high price and I suspect it can only go higher. It's mainly up to you, to decide whether to offload it permanently or hang onto it for a bit longer.

If I was you I'll KEEP it because they are no longer readily available out there in Flebay land.

Start with a BIN at the highest price you might reasonably expect to be able to get, then drop 10% per week until it sells.

I think it is some kind of F&F, you can see springs under caps in one of the pictures.

I bought the blue APL, what I assume to be keytronic. I plan on creating a custom case and to xwhatsit convert it. Will post more pictures once I get it.

I saw some stuff over at the old vintage computer forum that said it used foam and foil when somebody was complaining about not all switches functioning on theirs. But looking at the pictures, and between the caps on the numpad, those look like Futaba MD just for the fact the switch casing looks to be white and I've never seen a keytronic like that.

As dirty as it is, probably would need to swap out a ton of the switches for it to feel nice. Cool caps and usable layout though.
