Using a pattern on a single material isn't very art deco IMO.

do you have to do a standard layout OR could you think about a ERGONOMIC design?

for instance I love the Planet 6 by kurplop.. and that in a nice, bioshock-esque, maybe a bit steampunky had be endgame for me!

All the Art Deco florishes in NYC are just patterns on one material. Unless art deco means something else in other places. I mean a big part of art deco flooring is inlaying contrasting colors, but thats usually black and white marble.

A copper colored keyboard could look neat, maybe even with some engarving, but I think I would need some pictures of the board to imagine such things. I would skip the brass spacer and just have a pure copper look from the side.
Top mount 60% would be nice
