I think you should calm down a little, yeah. Hahaha. You've posted 17 times in this one thread just today. Maybe just reconsider what you feel is Great and/or interesting =P
A lot of stuff from TaoBao is pretty good deal before shipping, but shipping is usually pretty expensive =/ Proxy sites also charge a certain percentage of the sales total I believe.

Unless you're a chinese. And afaik there aren't that many chinese people in here.
Better post stuff in here that really is a good deal after shipping!

I wish you could get deals like the ones on TB anywhere else online..
And on Taobao, I always seem to discover some new or interesting keyboard that I've never heard of.

I was this close to getting a good deal! This close! Shipping, man. Ruins everything.
Maybe I could pay someone to buy it for me *in* china and then ship it to me, instead of usimg an expensive proxy. But then we are back to square one with the shipping.
This is why we can't have nice keyboard things. Just stuck with stuck-up eBay sellers and bad shipping prices.

Do you happen to live here in Convict Town?green-squid wrote: ↑This is why we can't have nice keyboard things. Just stuck with stuck-up eBay sellers and bad shipping prices.
This is where full on daily shipping rape occurs on anything bought from overseas. We just bend over and prepare for the massive gape that shall happen.
Painful Flebay Shipping is the norm, where ever you buy it from. If you want permanent cheap shipping - DO NOT LIVE in AUSTRALIA.

For sure, eBay gets a bad rap for only having things at such high prices. It turns out when you only check once a day, people already have snagged all the good deals for that day. Most good deals that are put up on eBay are sold within 30 minutes. If you are truly looking for a particular board for a good price, put a watch out on that item so it emails you when new listings are live.

For what it's worth, I just bought 330 Cherry clones and 500 Alps clones for just under $60. TaoBao has good deals if you are willing to go really bottom of the barrel.

This popped up on my ebay dashboard today. I dig those keycaps and weird layout. Really not usable but cool to see.

What switches are those? Board says Maxiswitch, but doesn't look like the ones in the wiki.

That's funny because NOW everything is controlled by software and it's launched when sensors/radar are triggered.codemonkeymike wrote: ↑I feel like some General when ordering equipment said something like "I need to be able to launch the big one without having to learn QWERT-ah"
A thousand times more reliable then relying upon a single human to press that switch to launch anything. That is why we are heading down this path of M.A.D.

Agreed. I'm not really even considering putting in a bid on this one. I'm guessing that several hardcore-collectors will be prepared for a drawn-out bidding war and I don't wanna do something stupid like taking out a second mortgage for a keyboard, albeit a really nice onefohat wrote: ↑ That is a truly magnificent find, it deserves to go for a spectacular price.
