Saw a similar thread on geekhack, and then I just found a post by guk who hasn't been here since 2016 which made me think to start the thread. So...

Yeah I remember him, nice guy no idea why he left. He was brilliant at finding keyboards online, he found a bunch of my nice vintage KB's for me. Real nice guy. So many people left and never showed again.

Yes I see a bunch of people who just disappeared without a trace (though I admittedly did the same for a couple of years). I just hope everyone who abruptly left is okay out there somewhere.

Right. Another high profile mystery was Soarer who abruptly dissapeared.

Is Soarer. I still wonder whatever happened to him. I messaged him once right before he left and never heard from him again.

I think we've all dropped off at one point or another for various swathes of time, but I'm legitimately concerned about Soarer.

Soarer stopped at 999 here in March but he continued to login over at Geekhack until August. His last post as far as I'm aware is here:

Didn't they release the PCB gerber files? maybe you could make your own ones. Pcb making is ver easy nowadays.

I'm in contact with Vincent and he's currently changing big things in his life.

Ivan went MIA after running a GB that he never delivered, disappearing with something like $15K.
