Looks much better.just_add_coffee wrote: ↑You're right, though the top plate is more pinkish in real life than it photographs. Probably not much of an improvement to you however.Blaise170 wrote: ↑ Terrible choice of color scheme (orange, cyan, and red do not match) but otherwise not that bad.
So how about red chrome?

Oh well. It's hard to top the purple and green of Troubled Minds. That's such a gorgeously tacky keyset. Whoever it's creator ... God bless 'em!digital_matthew wrote: ↑ Nah. Keycaps are too nice.

It most definetely isn't a generational thing. I'm 20 and I don't like that word and closest thing to an artisan I have is the DT-keycap on my Model F XT. Also the trend following isn't my cup of tea either, I may have blue Alps and a beamer but then again I have plate springs which are the opposite of "hip"Blaise170 wrote: ↑I wouldn't call it a generational conflict at all. I know plenty of people in this hobby younger than 30 who can't stand "keebs", artisans, etc. I'd describe it much more as a matter of taste, as I don't think a keyboard with 30 artisans on it is good taste. I like practicality and that's exactly what (most of) my keyboards are.

As I often point out, it's similar to the "objectivism vs. subjectivism" conflict in consumer hi-end audio, even though many of the conservative keyboard collectors are hardline "subjectivists" with stances as irrational as the "keebtards", albeit in a different direction.

It's funny. Here, depart from grayscale or the IBM pebble/pearl/babyshit khaki or stick an LED on something and some folks will become apoplectic. On Reddit, state a doubt about 60% layouts being truly efficient or "ergonomic" and it's the same reaction.davkol wrote: ↑As I often point out, it's similar to the "objectivism vs. subjectivism" conflict in consumer hi-end audio, even though many of the conservative keyboard collectors are hardline "subjectivists" with stances as irrational as the "keebtards", albeit in a different direction.

I posted this photo years ago here and on GH, and it has taken on a life of its own ever since.
It is really kind of impressive that it still functions at all.

Definitely the keyboards may have some trauma when molested.
Here's the keyboard that I remember as the dirtiest, perhaps not the ugliest. And I have to do more research to confirm its mechanical identity. The user is probably from Europe.

The assumption that I *don't* want bling on my keyboard or that I want all of my keyboards to be 'pristine' or 'original' in every way just because I exclusively[α] collect keyboards manufactured by three letter companies with switchtypes abbreviated as BS.
Au contraire mes amis! I would freaking LOVE to collect keycap sets for my Fs.

While vomit can look ok (not good ) on macropads and smaller keyboards(40%s), there is such a thing as overdoing it and this is, well, over****ing doing by a million.
Also: stop paying for SP's trash. 67$ is money
