The ONLY good thing about this is that every owner of a Beamspring can now rid themselves of a heavy lump keyboard, instead of either tossing it into land fill or using it in a brick wall as a bracing block.

All's good for those that lust over this very rare keyboard.

Normally despise Flebay but they do gather interest in selling old gear, encouraging sellers to post their items quickly and frequently.

Yes they are peerless switches but they are surprisingly good when new.

Got to try one of these today, it feels pretty good. Unlike my beat up older Peerless FKB47??, the keyfeel is very smooth and the tactility is consistent, kinda "bouncy".
Sadly the FKB4726 seems to be a cost cut version which uses lasered caps as opposed to the dyesubs earlier FKB47XX used. It also uses a thinner coiled cable and appears to weigh less, probably due to a thinner backplate

I was interested by the caps but he offered me an obnoxious price for them, bit of a disappointment since I really need those weirdly sized mods ...

This appears to be a later model. The 4725s I found before all had dyesub PBT caps.

I'll be using mine for a redux video of the 4700 ^^ .

Yep, you got the last version in this series.

Once you get a NIB version it becomes very much appreciated, simply due to having the top "2" requirements that every keyboard collector wants.

What exactly is so special about Nixies to warrant shelling out 700€ for them so quickly? I get that the board itself can be considered a rare collector's item but it looks like the buyer only plans to keep the switches (and maybe the caps) even though vintage MX blacks are fairly easy to get a hold of for more than an order of magnitude cheaper.

Nice! Hopefully the buyer desolders the switches with care so the pcb survives. Looking forward to the build log
