Ridiculously expensive as they are now, the higher prices seem to have drawn more beamsprings out of the nooks and crannies, I think.

That is the BRILLIANT part of this equation, where more Beamsprings are coming out, instead of being kicked to the curb and being ignored.

All because of the escalating value of them especially during these times. Good for those that can afford it but horrible for those that can't

If previous experience has taught me anything, it will almost certainly go for significantly more than $1000 with most of the jump being in the last 2 minutes.

I would sell in a heartbeat if I found one of these. There's far better things I could be spending $1200 on besides a keyboard.

I probably would just end up spending the proceeds on other hobbies.

If you find that beamspring is your end game then perhaps it will save you money in the long run. A steady stream of cheaper purchases over the course of a year or longer can really add up. I entered this hobby ~two years ago and kept buying stuff because it was all mediocre, unrefined or unbalanced IMO.

That is definitely a solid strategy...unless there is no endgame when something shiny comes up for sale at any given moment

Over the last five years I've spent way more than $1200 but that's because I would buy pretty much any vintage keyboard on eBay I could find just to see if I ever got anything interesting (the answer was usually no).
