Since when have beamsprings been going for 1.2k and 1.4k? I swear before that Displaywriter keyboard sold, the previous sales were around $600.

That's another of my 5251s there. I'm sorry about that high price, guys, but the market on these things has just gone crazy lately. Maybe it's just a bubble and will eventually settle down, but for now I'm just going with the flow I guess.
If I recall a completely unmodified and dirty one sold for around $1300 a few weeks ago, so I figured it would be foolish on my part to list a restored one for the same price.
Wow, as I type this it just sold. (!)

Problem is, it's in budapest, not sure if I can convince the seller to ship it here (this is a craigslist type deal)..
it's 30 dollars.

ISO M13 (beige, with cut cable). Somewhat cheapish though, to compensate.

This might be the first and only ISO M13 I've ever seen. I didn't even know they made those. It was also NOT made by Maxi Switch, but by Lexmark in the USA.

French Canadian layout - that probably explains why was it made in USA. I now have to wonder if the UK plant ever made M13 units as well.Chyros wrote: ↑ISO M13 (beige, with cut cable). Somewhat cheapish though, to compensate.

This HHKB may have a slightly botched logo removal attempt, but at $100 (which will obviously turn into ~$150-160 or so once all is said and done and it's at your door) It's still a nice candidate, you could retrobrite it and chuck a sticker on the 'logo' if it really bothered you and you'd be good to go. it even comes with the coloured accent keys.

Sheesh, some people can't understand a jokeful disclaimer.
Whatever, if you like the (vanilla) fr-FR layout, it's your own business. Let other people have differing opinions.

It’s not that I "like" the AZERTY layout, but that I simply find it is a very workable tool.
The difference here is that I have been using it for decades while you don’t even speak French

You're getting too close to being outright offensive.
Well, excuuuuuuuuse me for having a different appreciation of something than you.kbdfr wrote: ↑It’s not that I "like" the AZERTY layout, but that I simply find it is a very workable tool.

Oh you feel offended by the "Latin layout keyboard guy" comparison?
I thought you would see the parallels
You keep saying "opinion", "appreciation" when in fact you keep bashing the AZERTY layout
without ever having had to use it, be it on AZERTY or on another layout.
In other words, you simply have no clue.
What about posting in the "A new car.." thread how horrible you find right-hand drive cars,
starting with "I never even sat in one"?

You have a right to your own opinions, but not to your own facts — in this paragraph, you state two different "facts" that are patently false. Enough.kbdfr wrote: ↑Oh you feel offended by the "Latin layout keyboard guy" comparison?

And I don’t see the point in PM’ing you when you were the one who "polluted" this thread with your idiotic remark about the French and French Canadian layouts.
Oh, did I really write "idiotic"?
