Yeah. Plus AZERTY layout, though I assume that could be changed with an xwhatsit and keycap swapping.

It would still be awesome to type on without a top case.Techno Trousers wrote: ↑Yeah. Plus AZERTY layout, though I assume that could be changed with an xwhatsit and keycap swapping.
Better luck next time though.

Apple IIgs Keyboard in auction. Not sure which type of switch between Orange and Salmon.
(Or even SMK Tactile, the lable looks kinda weird) https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/h321363971
EDIT: This is most likely to be the Orange Alps type, judging by the label in the back.

IBM Model F 122 for a decent price considering the last one sold for more than $800 shipped.

Sadly they appear to have hit a new normal. They could be found for around $200 in decent condition at the beginning of this year.savantstrike wrote: ↑Are f122's really that expensive now...

I bought my second F122 in almost pristine condition less than a year ago for 250 (+shipping) and I got berated at for paying "that much".

It seems like all the really desirable old IBM iron has tripled in price in the last year.
Even the significantly "lesser" and more common variants like XT and blue switch are going for $100+ nowadays.

It makes it even funnier when you read the description and see "This keyboard is a less common color variant of black on top and red underneath."E TwentyNine wrote: ↑No "almost" about it. That's marketing for you. There is a reason this is an uncommon color variant I know someone who listed an item on eBay describing the item as "the best one I've ever seen" which wasn't untrue but in reality was only the second of such item they owned.Gnohio wrote: ↑ It makes it even funnier when you read the description and see "This keyboard is a less common color variant of black on top and red underneath."

I wonder if they are actually refurbished or if the seller just wiped it off with a towel and said "That looks nice."?

Model F with the works. Says "Springs were derusted and then coated with Rust-oleum. The ping sound is dampened though the feel is preserved.", does anyone know how much that actually affects the springs? The extreme pingyness is one of the best things about model fs imo; would be a shame if that was altered too much.

Rustoleum? Like the spraypaint? Sounds like it would barely function at all.

Yuck. I can't imagine adding a layer of enamel would do the springs any favors. Should've just bought new ones from Unicomp and did a floss mod if the sound is that bothersome.Gnohio wrote: ↑Model F with the works. Says "Springs were derusted and then coated with Rust-oleum. Ebay has probably the best coupon code I've ever seen that you can use on any one item >$50 for the next few hours for 20% off. You might be able to apply it to multiple items if used at checkout where there are multiple items in your "cart."
Full details here: https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2018/0606/66165.html
Coupon Code is PICKDADSGIFT to use at checkout. Not sure if it is good outside the USA
