Persistent discrimination, which seems to be the norm for the United States.

You could always make a US eBay account and then at checkout change your address.

Tried it and basically the items you bought gets stopped and Paypal gets antsy (freezes) over that transaction.

Wow sub $500 white whale? Pretty legit. I feel like it wouldn't take a tremendous amount of work to fabricate your own case, either. I hope whoever got it makes a fun project out of it and doesn't use it just as is...

Could end up re-selling it again, for a higher price ;) .

So tempting. But I don't have the skills to make it work with a modern PC, nor can I use that layout.

Why would you want one? They are stiff, scratchy, non-modular, and have weak stem holders. Sounds like a failed design.

I definitely agree with you on that. If only I have enough space to put all those keyboards.

Also, great deal on the M0110 keyboard.

I have probably a 15x15 room that all of our junk goes to, but I honestly don't like having a lot of keyboards anymore. They are a hassle to deal with. I'm vying for a collection of 10 or less.

I thought it looked cool as well. I'm not limiting myself to a set number as I will always make room for something special. I want to reduce my collection by 75% within a couple years though.

Well I've gone from like 104 a few years ago to like 20 or so now. I'm still working on selling about half of them though, just not getting anyone interested on eBay at the moment.

I think the biggest hesitation with buying the NEC keyboards is the funky JIS layout and ease of conversion.

Conversion actually isn't that hard, there is a TMK firmware for PC98.

Saw this old Heathkit H-29, same as the Zenith Z-29. Seems like a couple sold back in march for about the same price or a little less. Looks like a high profile keytronic foam and foil. Nice one though. I probably would have bid if I wasn't already fixing up three other keyboards. Old ad I found said N-key rollover and the profile and enter key looks just like my other keytronics so I'm guessing that's what she is. Plus it's 1983 which seems to be when everybody and their dog was putting out that particular kind of keytronic.

Anybody else got more info? With the stats I can't imagine many other options that F&F, Hall Effect or Magnetic Valve.

The very profiled keycaps are also a sign of SKCC

Looks pretty corroded under that foam. It will be interesting to see how much this goes for.

I find it cringy how some people decide to pull the big keycaps with stabilizers off rather than the single unit keys. Or this...

On that 5251, definitely would have sold for more if they didn't show all the rust inside ;)

Barrel plates usually don't get that thick rust on them like that unless you get unlucky, which I'll admit has happened to me a couple times, see below.

The problem is that if there's rust on the plate like that, chances are good that the springs and stems are obliterated at least in those areas.
