Yeah I don't think that this is an official Vortex product. This is pretty great, but a non-starter for someone like me that does 3D work. Also I love how they insinuate that it's suitable for "gaming".samuelcable wrote: ↑talk about buzzwords on that titleekeppel wrote: ↑I hope this qualifies as interesting. There is a very well priced omnikey 102 gold label with blue alps posted on eBay. I expect it to be gone in minutes, but here's the link:

I have seen something like this before, I believe someone actually sells conversion kits which work for many varieties of typewriters:digital_matthew wrote: ↑Yeah I don't think that this is an official Vortex product. Thanks, that seems about right.
I yearn for the day that hall effect/ITW boards can be converted practically.

Speaking of, anybody got a guide somewhere to reverse engineering keyboard protocols? I've been fiddling with a different Cortron ITW board and it runs just fine on 5V. Using a teensy I had for a different project, I flashed Soarers, hooked it up, and was able to see the start and stop bits pop up as R05 errors every time a key was pressed with default scancode set 1. Gonna try some pullup resistors today as well as forcing other scancode sets and see if that has any effect on anything. I would have tried Hasu's XT thing too but I don't have a pro micro laying around.
Also, fair warning that I'm probably gonna bid on that busted Cortron since it looks like a Sperry/Univac and I love the keytronic version I have. Ironically, the keytronic is a bit smoother feel than those switches though.

This Goldstar MSX computer has ALPS SKFL, awesome SKC-compatible keycaps but pricey... Slider looks almost creamy, but I guess they only come in white... I take it Goldstar was ALPS' Korean branch.
If anyone gets it, I want that STOP key!! (To remind to stop obsessing about keyboards?!)

Well preserved AEK II with original box and documentation.
https://ebay.to/2IhwIae
Not sure the switches but a really cool ComputerVision nonetheless.
https://ebay.to/2twDgfE
Two WYSE boards, one branded with "Molecular Computer"
https://ebay.to/2luNBWa
WYSE that could be potentially quite cheap if you make an offer.
https://ebay.to/2ltEWmT
Way too expensive but make an offer. Lynk Model M 122.
https://ebay.to/2lsmn2c
And for today's Not-So-Great-Finds:
https://ebay.to/2MQfTH5
Another WYSE that is pretty cheap.
https://ebay.to/2IhAksO
Motorola branded WYSE.
https://ebay.to/2IhASyS
Should be MX Blacks, nice colorful keys including XMIT and HELP.
https://ebay.to/2KbITXT
Really old Cherry keyboard, probably from the M7 line.

Almost certainly not Alps, I'd be amazed if it were anything other than membrane. The flat key profile kind of gives it away, but really any of the novelty boards from back then were all membrane. If I could see the back, I'm sure I could identify it quickly.

Saw this,
I would try to bargain with the seller if not for me already spending so much as of late, it seems to be in quite good condition.

did anyone pick this up?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Monterey-Staff ... 7675.l2557
I was thinking blue alps, but I took too long in my research before I was able to decide to "buy it now" and missed out on it. Would love to follow up with whoever got it to confirm switch type!

I missed it also, but we recently talked about a similar one here which had green (!) Alps switches. I have the photos here someplace. Not a lack of color correction because the switches had LED slots. That one was also a K102 with the same "Staff" branding on the bottom label and was less than 2000 units earlier in serial number.//gainsborough wrote: ↑did anyone pick this up?
