Laser’s cheap find looks to be quite similar to my own favourite NMB:
review-f45/nmb-rt-102-with-clicky-space ... t=invaders
I’ve got two Space Invader boards, both with clicky black switches. That one is by far the better. Oddly enough, Chyros’s find just above is quite like my less favourite of the two! Mine isn’t Erase-Ease however. But does have a lower build quality than my nice ISO one.
Laser’s tip looks solid thanks to the dual coloured legends on the numpad. That’s just like my best NMB. They semed to cheap out on their dyesubs after that and went single colour, along with an overall reduction in build quality. I wouldn’t worry about the duff DIN cable: you want to Teensy up one of these anyway. But the missing D key is a bummer. Think I saw someone here on DT selling some spare Space Invader caps recently, though.

Thanks for the link to the Micro Switch keypads, I just bought one. I think they are the same units that where previously converted to USB by HaaTa: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=18048.0

That OOAK board has Honeywell Micro Switch Magnetic Reed Switches. I wanted it but it's more than I wanted to spend.

I searched for a Bud enclosure immediately after buying that keypad and I think I also found that one. However, judging from the picture it unfortunately doesn't have the right size/format. It also is really expensive!Slom wrote: ↑Go all the way: https://www.ebay.de/itm/1pcs-KB-13200-B ... 3891538842Nuum wrote: ↑Thanks for the link to the Micro Switch keypads, I just bought one. Edit: According to the datasheet it might actually be the correct enclosure, but still way too expensive. It is also available from Mouser, Digikey, etc., though!

I've been looking for one of these for a while now! My dad was a ham until he had kids so I'll prob convert it and it'll make a good gift for him or something. I don't know if he likes linears so who knows. He'll at least think that it is cool.

I tried to pick up a NIB one a while ago for more than this, although someone apparently made a better offer than that. I also had slightly more money at the time, atm I have very little cash xD .

Note that later models of these MCK 142 come with pad printed keycaps and SKBM white. I don't know how to recognise them for sure, but my late version has a purple PS2 connector.

If the WYSE were in better condition I'd consider getting it. But the APC looks suspiciously like a rubber dome to me despite the "clicky" claim.
