USB Converter already installed by a former GH/DT member (almost sure he used Soarer, as I recall). Tested fine.

The unusual aspect was experimenting with that person having added a white LED inside the unit (which is activated on/off via clicking a sequence of keys) to see whether it might illuminate one's overall keyboard in the dark (but not illuminate under the keys... backlighting the keys is not possible, of course, due to IBM's keys not being transparent at all, including unable to illuminate the key's lettering at all -- do not confuse this with backlit keys!). The result can be considered between a useless failure or gimmick, or perhaps for some, slightly useful to produce some lighting, though not ideal -- again, this is not any breakthrough. Almost hesitate mentioning the added feature in wanting to ensure the buy doesn't mis-read the above disclaimers and somehow thinks they're getting illuminated keys/lettering -- they're not. The programmed keystroke sequence can be seen in the soarer mapping - it was something like Control M / Command M or something or trying some sequences. Sorry, it's been a few years and have had it in the closet.

That said, the keyboard is in good condition. See attached photos. I believe the last programming/mapping was probably for Apple computer keyboard layout (as much as a Model M's keyboard can partially map to that), but anyone familiar with Soarer's software can switch it between Apple, Windows, etc.

Listing it on DT first so someone on DT more familiar with this/Soarer's/etc. can run with it without handholding.
