Btw, how thick are these keys going to be?
Thin enough to make sure the LEDs shine through, so you've got nothing to worry!

The space bar apears to be a 6.25 units space bar with 3 key mounts. ne center and 2 key mounts 2.25 units left and right of the center. This space bar is most presumably the same as the one for Leopold 500-something. It is not compatible with the so called universal space bar.

Though, I have a question (I did my best to understand, I swear, but I still feel not sure about this one):
I have a Filco TKL and I would like to have it with Dvorak layout and the pictured control keys.
Are the pictured controlled key included in NOIR/TKLDVORAK or should I go with NOIR/ALPHADVORAK + NOIR/SYMTKL ?
Plus: are the tape drive and keyboard key available ?
any hint ?

just warning, do be carefull when going by images; I have two spacebars here that seem identical, only when trying to fit and having one or the other side pop up did I realise there is one out of three posts that is off by a milimeter or 2.

I have sent CLEARALL. I had got in for the moogle kits, but they were removed from the order a while back and the rest are not really important. I had ordered space bars, but I'll ask for more space bars in the moogle kit order instead.

Hey all I'm new to mechanical keyboards but am looking to buy a filco tenkeyless with blue switches. I want my keyboard to eventually look like this:

Would I be looking to buy a type of "Round 3" set then? Thanks for your help!

Yes, that would be Round3 style

Great thanks! There are many different options for Round 3 lol. Which of these would I choose if I'm looking for a two toned color scheme of grey and black?

ROUND3/TENKLESS
ROUND3/TENKLESS/BLACK
ROUND3/TKL
ROUND3/TKL/BLACK

Is the DESKTHORITY key available, or not? If it is, will the retro version be grey on blue? :ugeek:

Didn't see that in the Wiki. Anyway Melissa's kerning is improving. You have to lerntokern and kerntolern . DESKTHORITY would be a bit of a challenge for her. Lots of places you could screw up. With 10 spaces and Signature Plastics track record at least ONE would be screwed up

And I don't know WHAT it is with Leopold owners but using a ruler seems difficult for them. I suspect Keycool=Leopold 500/700.

And my photos are...unavailable right now.

WHAT FONT IS THE DESKTHRORITY.NET BANNER???

Whats included in NOIR/STANDARDDE ?

Its missing SPACEBAR right? Anything else missing? Winkeys? Modifiers?

User avatar

it's the same content as STANDARD, only with the German alpha keys instead of the US ones.
I don't think there will be anything missing as in the pricelist both STANDARD and STANDARDDE are listed with 158 keys. (Maybe only missing an ANSI enter as trade-off for the additional "<>|" key thats not present at ANSI)

EDIT:
and btw. @7bit:
There still seems to be something wrong with your script and the recieved payments.
I already paid you 83, but my update-mails show 83$ so it seems like it doesn't convert the currencies.
And therefore the ammount that I still have to pay at your mails is wrong.

I'm referring to the Deskthority key with just the "D" logo, like this:

Let me get this straight.

I have ordered two different RETRO/****DK sets and two RETRO/space, to the total cost of $228, of which I was asked to pay half ($114) on April 16, which I did.

In the most recent e-mail invoice, both these sets are "accompanied" by a fee, making the total cost $340 (I'm guessing no more orders will be made since I'm the only one ordering them so far), and again, I am asked to pay half.

So my questions are:

1) Since prices have been bumped significally, can I change my order, and in that case where can I see the prices including fees for ***DK sets?

2) Is it corect, that I should pay ($340/2) - $114 = $56 in order to follow the instructions?

3) I thought the idea of "paying half" was to ensure people were serious about making the payment, and to see if certain sets could be lowered in price. I must say I feel sort of "tricked" since the prices in my case increase by 50% after I paid half of the original invoice.

4) When can I expect my keys from the Unicomp mini group buy, ordered and paid for 9 months ago?

This might sound negative, but I appreciate you taking the time to do this, 7bit! :)

For the record: it is a "round 1" set (lower case-modifiers and Function keys) but a "Round 3" set is similar in appearance.

lower case is non-capitalised, which doesn't fit that pic; Camel Case it is, and looks like R3 is CAPS.
Thnx for pointin out that detail though, they look quite nice.
