I live in South Korea. (We can find the safe way for you and me)
Thanks

Remember when five hundred bucks was considered too much to pay for an Unsaver? (this was at about the same time I got yelled at for spending 250 for an F122 in excellent shape, as well)

That was back when the hobby was great, but was starting to get ridiculous.depletedvespene wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 23:37Remember when five hundred bucks was considered too much to pay for an Unsaver? This hobby was taken over by greedy ass holes, and I think a lot of people are losing interest. Or maybe it's just me

Not only Unsaver, For 3 keyboards (unsaver & M15 & beamspring and very good condition), I can pay 4000 ~ 5000 euros.depletedvespene wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 23:37Remember when five hundred bucks was considered too much to pay for an Unsaver? Model F 122 is very good keyboard. I also have 3. I use it mainly. therefore, I like the Unsaver.

I’ve lost interest completely. 5000 for three keyboards is complete insanity.wobbled wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 00:04That was back when the hobby was great, but was starting to get ridiculous.depletedvespene wrote: ↑12 Jan 2020, 23:37Remember when five hundred bucks was considered too much to pay for an Unsaver? Just FYI, 5000 euros pays for about half a years rent in Germany.
2.5 years worth of food bills for a student in Germany
Just a bit less than an annual average salary in Bulgaria (an EU country)
I can go on with this list...
...what’s wrong with people ?

If the good seller appears, we together can find the safe pay method.
Nowadays this world is very wide, at the same time, very narrow.
I'm planning on selling my Displaywriter Beamspring (among all my other keyboards), maybe you might be interested.
Original top label still in tact, zero rust on the plate, replaced foam to reduce wobbleness. Ran every part of the Beamspring mechanism through ultrasonic cleaning. Unconverted, but original PCB and wire is still there and previous seller confirmed it to be working on original terminal. Sadly one blank keycap got cracked in half and I glued it back into place. There's 2 spots on the bottom right of the case where the paint has been stripped off and is now a bit yellow. Some keys on the alpha's surface are already smooth and lost its texture due to usage.
I was planning on converting it and repainting the case, however I simply lost majority of my interest in this hobby.

Willing to sell this for $1000 + Paypal Merchant Fee, EMS Shipped to South Korea. Hit me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks
But I am not satisfied with your suggestion.
As for the displaywriter beamspring, I want to buy nearly new(no cracked body or keycap or rust).
Thank you for your suggestion.
May God bless you!

Let me tell, a beamspring kbd without rust at metal plate, and with no crack of the cover, total clean caps isn't much rare. Most of them will be like this after restoration, but how u define "nearly new"? That means some kinda NIB level or just "nearly new"look?aftergen wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 05:21yuchipashe wrote: ↑13 Jan 2020, 04:22I'm planning on selling my Displaywriter Beamspring (among all my other keyboards), maybe you might be interested.

I understand. Mine has zero rust and there is only one keycap that had a crack. This is as best as you can get sub-1k USD restored (non-converted). If you want it nearly new sadly you had to go back in time as almost all beamspring found were heavily used. If you want near brand new there is this one with the original metal cover still intact.

This thread is a demonstration of users who have seemingly forgotten how to PM others.
This is a WTB thread, not a discussion thread. I appreciate that the dialog is filled with dismissive bullshit that misses the point and contributes nothing, but let's get back on track, eh?
