I haven’t come across this too often as a seller, but it at least used to be that for auction items that the winning buyer cancelled, second highest bidder could be offered a “second chance” to the next highest bidder. Would think they’d have gone that route unless the >$420 bid was a fake bid by a known party in order to set a “reserve” if sorts? That would explain relisting it 10 minutes later, but who knows? Maybe there was a big gap between top bidder and next highest bidder, so maybe they wanted to reauction for that reason?
Atleast I can tell the second highest bidder offer is 415$, then 412$. Seems the gap was not that huge.

Alright, truth be told, the winning bidder was me, but I meant to only go to $310 (yes, I know that is a small amount for this board but it was what I was willing to go to should it come for it, and even that is something I can't really afford). The seller is not at fault here, I requested a cancellation because it jumped up at the last moment as I was about to press the button to raise the bid, but didn't see that it had gone a hundred over what I had planned on going up to.
I do feel bad to the seller that they have to relist it now and potentially deal with smaller bids, but I do really appreciate not being saddled with something I can't afford at a price higher than I meant to go. :(

Better than buying something you didn't really want/couldn't afford. I have done that, and its not fun when you realize that money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Note: the genuineness of these have been debated in the past. No documentation has been found on these boards as far as I know.

Check out that massive beast, with space for THREE hard drives!

(we used to lust for hardware like this back in the day; four megabytes in a 286 was also VERY unusual)

If the set was complete, at least (Page Up has been replaced with numpad 9, Pause and Print Screen have been replaced with a single extra Scroll Lock).

That seller used to sell his stuff for somewhat high yet still reasonable prices — this auction, OTOH, has an insane price attached.

Wait, you notice in the pic of the main keyboard there is a two piece cap that has the second part missing.

Does this mean there are alps two piece caps compatible with any two piece buckling spring caps?

At least one of the pictures appear to not be his. I reverse image searched a picture from his ebay ad and found what seems the be the same picture (but uncropped) posted to reddit.

Dark gray actually. I used mine for ten years or so, until the printing finally wore off the caps.

A couple years ago, I bought an F122 in excellent condition from him (at a decent price). I've always looked at the auctions he puts out, so...

That evoked my memory. A beam spring 5251 in good condition on ebay was sold by him last week, with 2000+$ price.

I mean, I think its from him, maybe my memory messed up eit.

Don't tell me you don't remember Wang Computers itself took advantage of that on its advertisements? "Play with your Wang", for starters...

And as far as Wang goes, I prefer the TA-BS/1200

3277 Full Size Beamspring. Keep in mind this requires a custom replacement capsense PCB to convert. Should be a thread elsewhere on DT with the PCB files.

does that use honeywell hall effect? I've been wanting to convert an old magnitic reed or hall effect or anything similar for a while. How hard would that be to convert? I've never done anything like this before.
