Decent price for this one. Just solder in some Montereys. They're pretty easy to find for relatively cheap.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think you can solder Montereys into an Alps board. I think they have different pin layouts.ddrfraser1 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2020, 21:34https://www.ebay.com/itm/SIIG-Minitouch ... SwSTFe5ibn

I actually had the same thought as you, I was about to buy an Alps clone Minitouch a few weeks ago before I looked it up to check. Good thing I did!

Right, I actually messaged him about it a couple weeks ago. He was originally asking for $200, if you'd believe it. It is also missing the caps lock LED. If he wasn't asking such an outrageous price, I'd be willing to get it and try making my own case, could be a fun project. Oh well

I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately I do not have any SMK boards to put the switches into. I think if I'm patient, eventually someone will have a Minitouch they want to sell

Doesn't show the switches, but this should contain Montereys based on the wiki: wiki/SIIG_Suntouch_Jr.

I actually bought that one before I saw your post! I was just logging in here to say something on this thread and saw you posted the link, that's awesome. This is a truly amazing keyboard, I'm really loving it so far. Thank you for your help!VelonicV wrote: ↑01 Oct 2020, 02:13https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-RARE-Vinta ... 2749.l2649

Hey, that's awesome! Good to hear it all worked out
I actually also bought the other one of the two in that listing as well, and have been using it for the last week or so. I agree, it's a really nice little board.
