Too rich for my blood, but I hope these keys are obtained by a Deskthoritarian:

I might be in the minority here but I hope a typewriter collector gets it. I'd hate to see such a nice machine get torn up so some yuppie can make their beamspring look like a space cadet.

You're both in luck.

We got it, or will once we figure out the no-contact pick-up / delivery.

It goes into the typewriter collection: mostly much older manuals, but with a few electric exceptions like a Praxis 48 and now this. Among the keyboards, the beamspring keeps its original keycaps. And the real Space Cadet takes care of that need.

We've been on the lookout for a good condition Selectric with blue keys for a while. Now begins the search for a GP Oriental element (think 1970 Chinese restaurant menu font).

So in addition to being an electronics necromancer with an ever expanding collection you also collect typewriters?

I have to say I'm pretty impressed.

Already having a Space Cadet is a great reason to no ruin your beamspring and blue selectric

Very nice looking selectric indeed! I believe that is only the second one I've seen like that (even on Google image search) that has the ][ alone on the normally "1" key. Not sure what the significance of that is, but seems to be an even rarer variant.

So after more research, seems the badge should be black to be an actual Industrial XT. The black badges had Oak linear switches. So something may be funny here that it has a silver badge. Maybe painted?

Yeah, gotta be a paint job. The paint appears to be scraped through in a few places on the back side as well (check the corners). The paint job has a high quality texture though, so it could very well be something done at the factory for a custom order. I've never seen one like this aside from those painted by enthusiasts such as ourselves. Maybe others with more knowledge could chime in.

As to the switches, you can easily tell from the keycaps and curved profile that it's the buckling spring version, not the Oak. In fact a buckling spring assembly won't even fit properly in the Oak Industrial case due to that curve.

Yeah, keys look the same as https://www.ebay.com/itm/313320230137 from up above, so some of them may be triple-shot.

ETA: Apparently, the next step of completeness would be a desk.

Ok, this is a strange one. Focus-style case (literally), DEC terminal layout, with MX blacks.

Seller has another one missing some caps.

These are (relatively) common on Xianyu, it seems they exist with MX Blue too

Converting one of these would probably be a major project; wouldn't be surprised if it needs 120v dc or something.
Still, very cool piece of computer history.

A Tipro MID series keyboard with a USB controller (not shown in the pics, but I asked the seller),
i.e. you can use and program it with a modern Windows computer (or swap the PS/2 controller of your existing Tipro keyboard):

Offered $35, free shipping and the seller took it. Took a bit of time to ship, but came in a massive box with tons of bubblewrap.
Followed your lead and offered 35, shipped pretty quick but with less bubble wrap in a smaller package

Overall it seems much dirtier than yours but the only broken key is the spacebar. True luck of the draw it seems
