I've got this one. I'm not into typewriters, but I had to get it to compare it to the beam spring. It feels very much alike.

Yeah, but it's just not the same. Each brand of computer from that era had its own distinct character. Modern laptops all look and feel remarkably alike (apart from processor speed which is increasingly unimportant). The fact that 99% of them come with some shitty cut down version of windows pre-installed (whether you like it or not) doesn't help matters. And then of course there's the chintzy build quality of laptops, and most other consumer electronics items these days...
