picked up this "computer" branded keyboard.
looks a lot like some of those model F clones, but also resembles a zenith z150 in my opinion. zero branding on the outside, but i am going to open it up shortly.

It’s got character, I’ll give it that! The caps have quite a profile. And the cheekily generic logo is cute.

The front labels correspond to Applesoft BASIC, so this must have come from an Apple II clone, or been an external third-party keyboard for the Apple II.

Weirdo pop up on yahoo auction, apparently lots of ppl have noticed as the insane climing price in the past hours. Also intend to give a shot but, well, pocket is a pain  , but I'm still curious about what switches the beauty possibly be using?

This is a maxi switch ME-101 isn't it? That massive top bezel is pretty distinctive. FCC ID is for EECO, which used to own Maxi Switch. Probably means its one of the later ones, as most MS boards I've seen have the actual maxi switch FCC ID. Most likely MX mount dome with slider?

Oki switch.
This is a keyboard for professionals who need high-speed input, such as entering subtitles for live TV broadcasts.

hi new here, found this keyboard online, tried to do some research and couldnt find anything concrete, guessing that they're either rubber domes or maybe alps, any help or insight would be great (●'◡'●)

The darkness between the keys is probably a good sign. Often, if you see a similar shade in there to the outer case, it's rubber dome, and they're built into the shell.

If it's Alps, it could be a nice keyboard. I have a tingling feeling it may be Acer switch though, which is okay but not as good. Just guessing though. I am often wrong!

That's a Chicony board, almost certainly rubber domes.

It’s a Chicony keyboard from 1995.

https://fcc.report/FCC-ID/E8HKB-5923

There is a similar keyboard with the same FCC-ID on eBay:

Looks like rubber dome

I reminds me of the keyboards in my head :? .

That, and the FCC ID shows that it's a Chicony keyboard, since their grantee code is E8H. :P

Yes, this was for professionals and not for the general public. So I guess it's because it's hard to find.

Thing is, I ran across the computer with that connector, today. Unfortunately, it wasn't something I was looking for, so I forgot about it :(

Alps 4-tab clone. Hua-Jie, perhaps?

Any idea about this module? This is the second one I've seen on japanese auction sites and missed by 10 seconds. If I had to guess I would place my bets on Microswitch.

I 99% sure it's kinda of contact based switches judging by the PCB, probably SMK or NEC linear variants. No need regreting at all, even for that deal price.

It is the old/tall KT foam and foil. PCB material, chips, trace layout, the capacitive pads visible on the other side, as well as the font on they keycaps and lock LED location all give it away.

Thanks. Switches are alps clone variants but I prefer the layout and metal shell. I also came across similar models but they're all with plastic cases, so this one should be bit more special for me.

It appears that there are no through hole pins on the PCB. If so, that would rule out most if not all contact based switches. The caps look a bit like old school keytronic, but then again they look a bit like all the high profile sphericals. I don't recognise the PCB at all though, so nothing else constructive to add.

Yeah, I made a mistake to make judge for my only first glance, the tabs on the back misled me they were two-pins contact switches.
I agree with the kt guess, the PCB pads under every key speaks something, and caps curve aswell increased the possibility.

SORRY. :D

Yeah it took me a couple of takes to realise those were numbers on the PCB and not some sort of weird pin arrangement.

I think I could understand that, but $2339.46 is a new level, almost double a regular beamer's asking. That's the highest bidding offer I ever seen on this website for vintage keebs. :o :o :o

Can anyone identify this keyboard? Qwertz, I think Swiss, interesting layout with an isolated key in the bottom left corner. I was outbid on these back in December 2020, and it still niggles me! Sorry for not having a better photo: this one is screenshotted from my email since the listing is old and expired. I remember he included a photo of the back, which has the brand "Victor" on it, but either no model number, or I've forgotten the model number. I hope that's enough to go on.
