Hello. I recently got my first vintage keyboard and wanted to share.





It is in pretty good condition, but the keycaps are noticeably yellowed, especially the spacebar.



It has MY switches with triangular cutouts in sliders, the wiki says that this type is rarely encountered.



I like the way it looks and want to use it, but the switches feel terrible. I know that it is possible to replace the PCB with one that supports MX switches, but it is difficult to find original G80 PCBs. Is ordering and soldering the GH80-3000 a good option?

Don't waste your time with that horrible keyboard. You can mod it 1000 times but it will still suck.

Case is horrible and creaky.

It is too light.

Feet are bad.

The border is too big, and its shape somehow hurts my hands (no, my hands are big thank you).

Caps are good though.

It is a superb option, though I would advise you to use the https://github.com/evyd13/gh80-series/t ... 0-3003_jlc since it's a drag and drop option made to order PCBs.

Problem exists between idea and engineering of that horrible keyboard.

It has a shape that invites you to rest your hands on that, but it is not a shape comfortable for resting

The board looks awesome.
The caps are kick ass.
The switches suck ass.

Welcome to the hobby otherwise.
Next, get an M0116/118, or a Model M for dirt cheap, and convert it to USB.
