It's probably not relevant any more, but you could use Inkscape or Potrace (directly) on it (you could then convert it to *.ai with Inkscape, I think).

What exactly doesn't work?

I think the following routes should be possible (Inkscape can export *.ai files, I think):

TeX --> pdf(la)tex --> pdf --> Inkscape (import) --> *.ai
DVI --> divps --> *.ps --> Inkscape (import) --> *.ai
Postscript --> Inkscape (import) --> *.ai
svg --> Inkscape --> *.ai
PNG --> tracing with potrace or with Inkscape --> Inkscape --> *.ai

Does saving as *.ai not work? I currently have Inkscape not installed, but I think there definitely was a way to save your drawing as an *.ai file.

Edit: Oh, and maybe this is relevant. TL;DR: *.ai is a pdf with a different file extension.

I can't save a AI file in Inkscape.

Maybe I try a renamed PDF file, but I doubt that this will really work.

Oh, sorry, my bad. I just tested it myself (I now am on a computer which has Inkscape installed), and I can't find the option any more, either. It was supported once (I knew it

), though, but according to http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... xport.html it's not supported any more, because newer versions of AI can import svg files. Sorry again. (You can (still) import *.ai files, though.

Well, I don't think it would be a problem if he used filled forms instead of borders to get what he wants, perhaps.

Edit: I can't upload a *.svg file here, but just try the following:

Use http://deskthority.net/wiki/File:Alienwild2.png (or your own file, obviously), convert it to *.pbm and then run "potrace <filename>.pbm -s -i" on it, and you'll get a *.svg file, where the drawing consists of filled forms without borders only.

I did this already, but line-graphics are cheaper.

She was able to resize the lines to whatever I want, so I will tell her the line withs, she makes a PDF file where I can see how it looks, if OK it goes in production.

I really like it when commercial software (sold for money) does not work, but free softare, given away for free, does.

I've given up on these and sent PS and PDF files, so she might be able to import them by herself, or at least can see what the result should look like.

There are only a few kits available!

I also own a full-frame digital, but it has such a high resolution that it is only possible to store around 37 to 38 frames on a memory cartidge.

BTW: For por^wpeople photography, 20mm on half-frame is ideal!

You should get yourself something wider, so more is in focus when you film the girls.

This would be useful to get 250 pictures on one roll:

Requires a Nikon F.

I only have a Nikkormat EL and an F80.

But both are full-frame digital!

They will be naked! And the only curtain involved will be made of titanium, (or cheap plastic in case of your Canon)!
