I suppose an argument could be made that octopuses, alien or otherwise, would be well served by keyboards with small-ish keycaps, as they would be typing with their tentacletips, but they'd prefer to use a large mouse they could grab and operate with an entire tentacle.

OTOH, that begs the question of whether they have fine enough control over the suction cups — if they can be pressed and released individually, they would surely prefer to use those by wrapping a single tentacle over one or two "key rods", where the caps would be tied to their cups.
