The best keyboard is the one you’re currently feeling the best. In my case my heavy little Alps64 slab with blues (the other kind), which has been mashing bugs with me, all of my own creation. (Learning Swift.) That satisfying umami sound of mistakes well countered: the best.

For typing i'm fastest with Cherry MX Blue.
For sound i go with a White Alps keyboard
Matias Tactile is also nice, better typefeeling but not as nice when it comes to sound.

Best is subjective and depends on the tasks it needs to perform. I really like my Moonlander, but any boards focused on ergonomics are good. Anyone working with numbers a lot is going to want a dedicated keypad, but that can be external. Also I really like the QMK firmware.
The "Space Cadet" is a bit of a holy grail. The "Twiddler" is a chorded device good for mobile typing. The "Datahand" is just neat too.
Really it's like any other tool. Whatever works best for you is what you should use, Ideally giving you the highest WPM input. It's more of a feel thing than anything and there is no one stop solution.

An objective decision?
It's preferences.

Interesing. duckduckgo claims this is the best:
https://trulyergonomic.com/ergonomic-ke ... -keyboard/
Terrible compared to my current keyboard. Significantly worse than Kinesis Advantage. But not too bad compared to the stock standard layouts.
It is actually strange the first hit was an ergonomic keyboard. I'm tempting to think that duckduckgo keeps track of my preferences. The result order may be somewhat random as well though.

If there's a url on duckduckgo.com making that claim, do feel free to link it.
Search engines are definitely dumber now the SEO game has really taken off. Just try to avoid all those spam sites in the top scoring results these days, ugh! (I needed to DFU an iPhone just earlier today…) It's truly a shame. Search used to be so much better. Backwards progress is startling.
