In my personally oppion though it looks way too risky to throw half a grand at. The seller is also awfully vague on what is actually available on the listing.

Is this the seller who was listing a Wang using a picture from the wiki? The only red flag I see is they don’t have any feedback, which could be they are a first time eBay user. The listing is covered by eBay’s money back guarantee which helps.

It's a terrible price. The seller makes it very clear that he's going to send you 10x random Wang boards, with only 2 guaranteed to have no missing keys. We don't know what percentage of those are Alps; he clearly has a lot of F&F/rubberdome ones, which are totally worthless.

Even in the best case scenario, where you get 10x Alps ones for $600, only two of them will be complete. That's not a good deal. If you're able to piece together the incomplete ones to make, say, 4 more complete ones in reasonable condition, you might break even. And that's the best possible scenario, which almost certainly won't happen. Alps Wangs aren't absurdly rare or anything, and they don't command a very high market price even when complete.

Anyone who buys that listing is throwing $600 down the drain, literally.

The x10 pet ser is the kicker really and the emphasis on boxes. Its bloody confusing wheather he is trying to convey he has 10 boxes or if he will only sell 10 of those keyboards. Hypotheticaly, if its for literally everything pictured and not sets of 10 keyboards, would it then have some value?

Depending on whether he can post I am planning on haggling for the whole lot at base price. Also other than landfill what whould be a creative use of 20+ rubber dome/foam and foil? I doubt there is a market for them even restored, maybe foam and foil for people who are more into the aesthetic than switch functionality but still.

A new open box Focus FK-8500.
I wouldn't call it a great find per se, but it was interesting to know that Focus continued to make new keyboards under their brand as late as during Windows XP timeframe. I thought x200 series were their latest.

The Wangs with Alps switches have value. It's just a question of how many of them are actually the Alps models, and what condition they're in; it seems like he has a tonne of the rubberdomes and F&F ones.

To be honest, I think you'd legitimately struggle to give them away for free, unless you happen across a totally mint or NIB one - even then, they'd hardly be worth anything. They're bad keyboards. Anyone who likes the Wang brand or aesthetic will go for the Alps ones.

If you're serious about persuing this: Ask him to give you a total quantity of the Alps ones, and pictures of nothing but the Alps ones. Then you can start to assess things properly. Until then, you'll just be guessing.

Uncommon/Rare Lexmark branded SSK from Ohaimark. Sad to see this collection sold off but such is life. Also NIB cable in box which is something I've never seen before.

Nothing bad has happened, I just didn’t use the keyboards enough and would rather pass them on. Funds are paying for some overdue tech upgrades and travel expenditures. I think I’ll still get my M15 to a particular YouTuber before I let it go. The memories are good enough with box white switches and smooth linears on the market. I still have a few favorites and engineering marvels. Fitting that many of my first and final posts are in this topic.

Keycaps remind me of Keytronic Foam and Foil. The Case also looks similar to the Dasher's, so it might actually be F&F. Looks awesome tho!

The seller said their father had bought it at auction and that it had been in use at NASA during the Apollo program. It feels absolutely amazing, and looks incredible. Expect a project soon!

I noticed a Qtronix Mighty Keyboard on eBay and thought it was interesting on multiple fronts. Mostly the manual it comes with has a weird cover that might be the closest thing to keyboard porn I’ve ever seen. Definitely wouldn’t be expecting to see this when I opened the box!

This is basically Gateway AnyKey under the OEM branding, with some minor layout differences, correct? Everything else is the same (double-shot ABS keys)? Is $200 a pretty typical price for one of these NIB, or a bit on the high side?
