Does anyone know anything about the built-in mouse on the Cherry G84 keyboard? https://cherryamericas.com/cherry-g84-4 ... board.html
I picked one up used. The x-axis movement is very poor, especially in the left direction. Tactile action is very rough which leads me to believe it's mechanical. I removed and rotated the 3 white balls that the main ball rests on but it made no difference.
I can't see any manufacturer markings on the trackball. Just a serial# and QC sticker. I'm unsure if it's a commodity item?
There is a video on Youtube showing ball replacement but nothing deeper.

Try rolling the black roller. As I recall (from cleaning mice back in the day) each axis has a roller, and the other stuff is there to hold the ball.
