Just DEC layout. Looks like it's the same as this, with thin DCS-like double shots and MX blacks.

Yikes from that discussion... Not just rubber domes.. CHEAP rubber domes...

Hello! Found this keyboard on local ebay counterpart, it's a Dell AT102 and it has Alps dome with slider switches. My question is, are the keycaps pbt dye-sub? They are definetely not ABS because they haven't yellowed compared to the case and the spacebar, and they look like pbt dye-sub keycaps from old Dells from the underside.

As you said, the fact that they're not yellowed compared to the spacebar speaks for PBT. The legends look a bit too pale for dye-sub, imo. I know that later iterations of the AT101 came with laser-etched caps. The ones here might be of that kind. Can someone confirm?Rbd_3178 wrote: ↑25 Jan 2023, 18:34Hello! cool find. at101 with complicated alps have blueish lettering too. also look at the homing keys, they have dots instead of bars. pretty sure its dyesub.
remember that the stabilized keys are not compatible to skcm/skcl.

this is actually the best hint, alignment is pretty inconsistent
Verysyss? Looks like a Wyse PCE Rebrand. Back of the keyboard has no stickers other than made in Taiwan.

That second board looks like a space invaders board, not sure about the generation.

The Xerox is a keytronic foam and foil board, the lock light sticker with the indents is a giveaway.
Second board is an NMB dome with slider. The caps are higher profile than on space invaders and the shift legend is also taller.
Aah those are some nice tricks. Thanks!
Mystery Wyse. I am guessing 840338-01

WYSE keyboard extension numbers.
keyboard on ebay is an AMDEK 840358-16.
Is the -16 mean anything special, or is it just because it is a rebranded keyboard?

Yikes. Don't think I've ever seen a legit DEC keyboard in black (I mean not unless you go back to the original VT100 era) and by the time the LK201 appeared they were mostly/entirely using rubber dome tech*. Probably about the best rubber dome I've used but unlikely to be anything anyone here is looking for. The only vaguely interesting thing is the LK201 layout with the bizarre function key layout that confounds everyone (DEC themselves normally used the keypad in application mode).mmm wrote: ↑12 Jan 2023, 15:45Just DEC layout. * Someone mentioned an HP PC a few years back which was actually Philips, probably via DEC's acquisition in 1991; vintage Philips PC keyboards were bloody horrible, about the only things I've used that are genuinely and noticeably worse than rubber dome, though we're probably going back to the 286 era there and I'd guess everything since was RD. Every time I see someone mention the Model F with the Big Ass Enter I think of the Philips one I used where the keys had a nasty habit of binding horribly. Their minicomputer keyboards were totally different to that, really heavy metal things where the only appropriate description I can think of is "weird". Weird enough that you'd see them on Red Dwarf occasionally. But I digress with my digression.

The back screams BTC to me, but the caps look a lot like this: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=102550.0
Hard to tell, honestly. Doesn't like like the keytronic F XT Clones judging by caps only, but given there were such a slew of XT clones with a style similar like this it could still be an F&F board (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=54139.0).

My first guess was BTC , since the seller has a similar one from BTC in the pics. (Kleinanzeigen)
Probably a coin toss , either MX (Clones) or F&FTNT wrote: ↑04 Apr 2023, 00:52Hard to tell, honestly. Seller is a pain in the butt anyway , so I dont know if I will be pulling the trigger. He takes ages to answer, doesnt wanna ship anything but lives almost in Austria. There is a G80-1000HAD that also striked my interest, but I think he knows kinda what he should charge for that...

could very well be.
Someday I wanna find a usecase for my wiki/Cherry_MX-M8_Adapter but I would need german caps. I like the looks of the right "num pad" side , those coloured caps with led windows are very stylish.
