Got this Ortek MCK-201 keyboard (possibly MCK-201FX) with unknown Alps Green four-tab Clone linear switches. Anyone would have more informations about these switches?
Heres the video I've made with the keyboard: Thank you!

Probably these:

The Adesso label there looks suspiciously like Ortek.
edit: found the old photos of my Ergo with what may be the same switches.

I've found this on ebay, it looks to have a decently chunky cable and some really cool sublegends. What does everyone think?

Mixed signals. The Print Screen key looks on first glance to be a two piece cap (top missing) like Model M, but last pic shows it’s just on backwards! Wrong shape overall for an M, obvs. Plenty of depth in the chassis for a mech. Yet still has 90s rubberdome vibes to me. Also the date.

Yeah, it's a bit of a conundrum. If it was more local I would go for it and see what I find, but because it's in the US I might have to passMuirium wrote: ↑04 Jul 2023, 14:45Mixed signals. Good call. I wouldn’t pay international shipping on a board with no confirmed ID. You’ll just wind up with a very costly, lousy piece of ewaste.

speaking of ewaste, did I buy an apple board with salmons / oranges or did I pull the trigger prematurely?

Those mice were awful! The best use I can think of for it is as a cruel gift to someone, pretending it’s a wireless mouse because you cut the cable off. You get the fun of watching them open up the compartment to find a mysterious ball fall out!

The are very similar, but I always thought that the oranges were better.guidemetothelight wrote: ↑07 Jul 2023, 10:08

Local Marketplace find, the layout is unusual, the case looks like a model m clone and the apple logo caps are really throwing me for a ride any help would be appreciated. Cheers

I only have pictures of the switch dissembled but you get the gist of what it looks like from it. https://imgur.com/a/5ylsHNx
I bought one for $15 awhile ago and while the one in the listing is NOS its not worth $100, if you are buying it use on a modern computer (or just taking the switches and key caps for a custom build). They're quite decent switches though and the key caps are thick doubleshots but get one if its cheap.

They're a good board if you have the desk space to accommodate.

Not an exact match but very close, inlcuding the MX clears etc. Sad indeedjsheradin wrote: ↑21 Jul 2023, 15:29viewtopic.php?t=14220

PhotoShop skill intensifies
Notice the top right corners "stickers" and overall forehead shape of the videos version.
Also it seems there is no massive box below the board in the videos version.
This makes this even sader since the videos version doesnt need as much desk space as the one with the box.

Yeah, its a really unique board. Vintage with MX Clears but no beige / grey case. Are those double shot keycaps ? looks like a HAD set or something. Man, what a shame. Why cant they just use some crap rubber domes, those will have keys flying everywhere as well.
That being said, most people dont care about keyboards at all (till you let them type on yours )

These Casio keyboards I saw on Yahoo Auctions:
Model number is S-KB-117J, which I believe came from the 楽一 BX-200
Looks like Fujitsu peerless caps with those rectangular integrated LEDs. Native USB again though...
Model number is S-KB-121J, from the 楽一 BX-500
Looks like spherical Fujitsu leaf spring keycaps, especially with the font - native USB though..?Model number is S-KB-117J, which I believe came from the 楽一 BX-200

The keyboard has a DIN connector. It's KS/JIS layout with the small backspace. I imagine putting some non-Russian keycaps on it and it'll make a neat retro board.
Just curious about that switch though. I couldn't find a match on the wiki. It looks like it has a "B" in the corner?
