I'm looking to buy some Boba U4T switches. I see they're now available with a "milky cream" housing and black housing. I found one website that said the cream housing was subject to discoloration and if that's an issue for you, you should buy the black housing.
Is the only difference between these switches the housing color?

The white housing that yellows is the original formulation while the black housing is the new one. There's no real difference in sound or feel though afaik. However, I think the milky white housing that's currently sold is also the new formula that doesn't yellow.

I honestly don't care if they yellow. They're switches. I'm never going to see them once the keycaps are on.

the older boba came in two spring weights, the newer ones only come in 65g that is quite a nice spring IMHO and due to the (https://www.techpowerup.com/review/buil ... a-lt-9.jpg) tighter coiling at the ends it feels very nice and different from 15mm 60g springs that somehow make the tactile bump more pronounced

I'm looking at the U4T on various websites and Ali Express. And the black housing is available in 62g and 68g.
It looks like there is an "RGB" version with a 65h weight that has a top clear housing.

Did some more digging. Looks like Gazzew discontinued the Boba U4T, and and replaced it with the Gazzew U4T. This new switch has the 65g weight.
I ordered the RGB version this morning. Hopefully they'll get here soon and I can kiss these linear switches goodbye.
