Hello, trying to fix the script to get some new headers up while figuring out how to give the excellent new mods the powers to do this at their leisure.

They’re a bit grimy for the header, in my view; which is often the problem with macros: extreme close ups reveal the extreme truth!

Mind, you’d need to get Oliver to (learn how to) add new headers. We mods don’t have the privileges. We’ve been stuck with the same set for years now. Best of luck.

I thought it was the dust and residual flux that gave it charm and made the picture interesting. It’s funny because the little pad module is in beautiful condition and I even dusted it before taking the pictures (but just with a little squeeze puffer).

Bummer about the site administration. Least of all for header images. I’m not up to speed with the drama around that but now that you mention it I do recall seeing things mentioned before. Hopefully it doesn’t stay that way forever.

The focus stacking was pretty fun and interesting. As an aside, if you have any interesting ideas for cool macros like this I’d love to try some more. I have one “super macro” lens and an “uLtRa MaCro” lens for really tiny stuff like this. The ultra macro goes up to 5X magnification! Oh and I’ll make sure to do a better job cleaning next time.
