Not sure if I asked this already, but are there no 60% models without any kind of split keys in the works? I don't know why I would want a split right shift or what key to put in the new place created from doing so.

Nope - you could always make both keys right shift; most folks like that split key to be the Fn key for macros, shortcuts, media control, etc.

That reminds me, can you leave one of the switches out and use a long shift key cap sort of like how it is with model m and f?

Nope; that cannot be done as the MX keys center the stem. You have to decide the layout you want before ordering!

Nope; they are still working on them, I will post an update when they send me the update!

Probably yes, but there is not much to update in terms of the actual maintenance skills being shown. The factory of course updated their assembly processes a while back after the discovery of the issue with the assembly of some Round 1 modules, as this was fixed starting with the newer first aid kit beam modules production (all remaining stock is now the new modules). The processes shown in the current video would be the same, though much less repair work should be needed, so it would probably be an update instead of redoing the video. The updated video would probably show how to unscrew the Round 2 case and inner assembly (not too difficult).

A couple of months have past since the last time I asked and I know you said you'd post an update when you have it. However, I've missed updates more than once in the past because I didn't ask.
So, is there an update?

They are still working on the samples. They expect to finish up production over the coming week or two and then they will do the assembly and testing to make sure everything is 100% functional before they send everything to me for final testing.
There are no major issues causing the delays; they are just adjusting the tooling so that the samples are made with the same CNC and other settings that the production boards will be made with stable results. These samples are not made by hand but they are setting everything up so they know they can proceed with production without delay.

I would say early to mid year at this point, since they have to take care of production and assembly and then we have to wait two months while they sail on the container ship.

The beam samples have finally been completed! Soon they will be on their way to me for full testing.

Looking good! Can't wait to get mine. Still on the fence if I should get a 60% ANSI as well in addition to the BSSK ISO I ordered.

Here we have some additional photos of the final beam spring pre-production inner assemblies. There is a mistake on the B122 in that the 5 extra holes should have been cut out above the cursor area and then covered with tape (the photos show the key spots visible without tape on some of the top inner assemblies).

There's an extra option to have that area cut out in production AFAIK. I would guess the traces are there on all PCBs
