It was a massive spam attack with several dozens of spam threads, now cleaned up.
Thank you to all who reported them..

I'm locked out of my nearly decade old account as I forgot the password. Won't send any reset emails to my gmail address, even creating a new account to another gmail address doesn't do jack. Outlook works for some reason though? ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
I've seen a lot of other people complaining about this too. Wonder if it's ever going to get fixed (probably not considering the grey area of ownership... boy, I came back here at a good time, didn't I?)

Hi is a literal piece of poop to be fair. And yeh DT probably has no future. No one is sending money to ellipse so that he can buy it and he certainly never pays from his own pocket. And the current owners are too greedy to accept a lower fair offer. So we all screwed.Go-Kart wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 16:43 I've been AWOL for most of this year. Apart from the unfaltering animosity towards Ellipse, the discussions over DT's future didn't seem to go anywhere.

People are unlikely to purchase something for large sums of money unless they can get significant returns for it. Most hobbyists do not have that much money to spend buying the forum back. This means the only people who would buy the forum are businesses or venture capitalists.
Since Ellipse is making the most use of the forum for advertising and support, he should be paying the full amount to buy the forum back. Partially covering the cost of the buy back is not good enough. In fact, he should be covering the cost of the administration and moderation needed to remove spam and keep the forum usable.
I propose that all moderators and wiki maintainers go on strike until Ellipse shares all knowledge he has on the model F and beamspring keyboards and production processes and buys the forum back. Ellipse will take everything for free unless he is forced to pay for it.

In the current situation, I 100% agree !xxhellfirexx wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 22:34 Since Ellipse is making the most use of the forum for advertising and support, he should be paying the full amount to buy the forum back. But the situation could be changed.
There is a problem with the bold text ... I am sure that he would expel me out together with some other members.xxhellfirexx wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 22:34 I propose that all moderators and wiki maintainers go on strike until Ellipse shares all knowledge he has on the model F and beamspring keyboards and production processes and buys the forum back.

You have seen the demonstration:

We should find another solution .... what about funding <new_hidden_dns_name> forum ?

There is no purpose in banning or censoring members because they can easily go to another keyboard forum such as Geekhack or Keebtalk. This will further diminish the value is buying the website. At this point, most of the value in this website is the wiki, forum posts, and file attachments. If needed, this data can be backed up. It will be a lot of effort, but it can be done just like with every other website shutdown.idollar wrote: 29 Dec 2024, 23:18 There is a problem with the bold text ... I did not find any other option but to show it to explain the situation.
The message is clear: "do not contact me".
Also the marketing department of "Model F Labs LLC" has long record of not answering.
It was not my intention, honestly.
I just wanted to stress the attitude of "Model F Labs LLC" so I analysed its content.
I have nothing to hide.
