Further to that, It's nice to know that people have been following what we are doing.
It's getting more difficult for me to keep everyone updated individually now. I suggest that you please keep your eye out for any further announcements mainly made on Geekhack. I'll try to include as much info as possible for everyone.
However I can say that we are far from being able to offer anything other than our standard Cherry keycaps at the moment but there is a cool two tone double shot cap on it's way that we can engrave and infill. Pics soon.
Thanks

He's informed us that the profile of "J-series" is Cherry replica, so it should be identical in that respect. They also have sphericals, which is called "K-series". So far it seems they can only do ABS, and engrave/infill. They listed the colours on another post, and have 11 or so of them so far. The fonts they can use... that's a bit fuzzy. Apparently not all of them come out looking very good so I don't know. I think he said something about testing different fonts. I'm trying to get a list of exactly which keys they can make but I haven't been given one yet.CeeSA wrote:for me it is unclear what is real to get.

Ped,
Mods on their way, I am having them engraved and infilled too to give an idea. Will send some pics of the outcome. It's a case of trial and error with the font's for engraving and infilling. They are engraved mechanically so suit a rounded font that isn't too intricate.
Thanks

Perhaps it would be better to collect all the info in a single thread, and bump that everytime there is news (and perhaps update the first post with a link to each post with new info, somewhere on another page of that thread); I'm sure the thread will be kept alive after each update by people like us spamming new crap in thereSleabo wrote:Further to that, It's nice to know that people have been following what we are doing.

The big upside to that would be less need to explain stuff that is already posted somewhere on that forum; it would already be in that thread..
Just my 2c; good luck with business, I'm hoping you won't be getting mine this year; 7bit was pretty powerful in draining my cashflow.

OK
Fair enough.
Theres not much more information at the moment. I am waiting on some more samples made up.
Hopefully once the website is up and running it should explain all anyways.
Thanks

I used to have a BBC and a Spectrum. If you want to order something please contact me on the email given but you are looking at something like this -nathanscribe wrote:Just the red F-keys for now. I reckon they'd look a treat with old creamy Cherry DS. I always thought the white-on-red top row only added to the BBC's classy style. We couldn't afford one, I had a Spectrum. No desire to revisit those keys though.ripster wrote:Like the Apple II?

I'd be looking at a set of 1-12 initially.
Sorry for taking things off topic again but found a pic for Nathan.

Alright, finallly had time to take some pictures of the caps I ordered from QWER, thought I'd share.
First, the K series: I love the colors and heft of these caps, great choice for F-row. Would not use for alpha block.
Heavy! Check out the bottom: Here is the J-series: And a comparison of original Cherry DS, K series, and J series WER caps.

They look awesome, and both the K and J series seem to be pretty thick, certainly compared to Filco/Wasd.
Cannot wait until they can do modifiers, at this rate I'll be picking some of these up before I get my hands on an imsto set!

They are a lot taller then reguar caps. I found that rather annoying, but to each their own^^.Icarium wrote:Great! Thanks for the pictures.
Why would you not use them for the alpha block?

Could you take one more, with all profiles on a single row on a physical board?Ascaii wrote:They are a lot taller then reguar caps. I found that rather annoying, but to each their own^^.Icarium wrote:Great! Thanks for the pictures.

Hi
Very soon! I hope... I have someone working on it as we speak, so maybe in the next 2 weeks.
Thanks

K for Killer.
I really should have tested them on the alpha block yesterday... Is the top surface a bit bigger than on the (Devlin)Jarltech's I got from you?
