Good thing this keeps happening. Makes it a lot easier to post my next contest/give away here at DT.

Woohoo! FREE CLICKCLACK!

Only fair. After all, the only reason to check Geekhack these days is for ClickClack keys.

You work for the government?

User avatar

I used to be a government contractor, and know all too well what "close enough for government work" means.
Although sometimes that paradigm is broken, like for the F-117, skunkworks needed a ladder to get into the cockpit and as I recall the story, just went down to home depot or something rather than spend $100K+ to design and build something.

I mean you hit that button and GeekHack is at Pause.

Maybe I should have added that moderator kit for real.

Didn't Buddha say something to the effect of adjusting your expectations is the pathway to happiness?

Notice my keeping with short, occasional posts....

Even if iMav forgot to renew the domain by that date most registrars lock it for around 30 days after expiration to prevent such takeovers from happening now.

I think they should just give the domain name up if it's going to continue to be a problem like this. Perhaps they could move to geekhands.org

sure, but to me it's pretty obvious what message they are giving, "give us the domain or we'll continue taking down the website"

tbh, should not let them have the domain. iMav should go register it for 10 more years.
