I've been wanting a Type-S. I got a Realforce "Silent" and some of the keys, especially the large ones like the Backspace feel just a little bit rough instead of being buttery smooth like the regular Realforces. I sent it back to Brian at EK and he compared it to other Silent RFs and regular RFs and said that all the Silent Realforces seemed to have that slighly rougher feel than the regular ones due the the material used to dampen the keys.

How does your Type-S feel compared to a regular HHKB or maybe a Realforce Silent version?

If you think the silenced Realforce feels rough then I don't think you're going to like the HHKB
