i was trying to cater for both black and white t-shirts, got a bit confused when asking a friend to design it.RougeRambo wrote:webwit wrote:RougeRambo asked before posting this topic.
I agree the logo is still a bit weird with the inverted "desk" part.
I'm guna pop round and see him.
Also i know everyone has different tastes and wants different things, but for the initial group buy i really think we should keep it simple:
2 choices: black shirt, white shirt. and change the logo depending on which
this is part of the problem the original logo is white on the desk part, this will not show up on a white shirt, hence the slight redesign, would it be best just to have the bubble for desk in black and the thority text in black or what?
give me some input with this bit.
or we can JUST do black shirts and keep the logo identical to the original.
- saying that i have this idea in mind, sort of in keeping with the front and back idea.
-very rough working.

as i said it was a 30 second mock up, had work at 6am....blehfossala wrote:I think the DT on the front needs to be made smaller.
will take this design to a mate and get him to mock it up properly, and make templates.
also i think this is nice but im not sure, how about; "input devices extraordinaire" somewhere in a small font.

I don't know if there would be enough realestate for a logo on a mankini. Maybe a 'DT' on the codpiece haha.
Needless to say I'd have to buy one for err, supporting deskthority of course, yeah that's it..

Has there been decided on one or more final designs? Me, I like a subtle DT like in the picture further above, white on black, but maybe others like the full logo. Polo could be interesting, kinda classy. But if I were you, I'd decide on something the fascist way and then check how many people want it, and if a threshold is reached, you can run the group buy. But that's just my philosophy on group buys (keep it simple and prevent fragmentation of demand).

Yeah but one can argue the same way, and advise rubber dome keyboards over mechanical. And who are you to say a DT polo + mankini combination isn't classy?

I don't like wearing polos, the neck irritates me. And you can't wear one if it's too warm.webwit wrote:Yeah but one can argue the same way, and advise rubber dome keyboards over mechanical. And who are you to say a DT polo + mankini combination isn't classy?

okay i am going to get my mate to create a shirt design like the one i posted.
for NOW i think we should say black only. normal FAIR TRADE shirt only. no polos. one design
after this group buy has been done we can work from there.
also i would really like
"input devices extraordinaire" somewhere on it, opinions?

It would be cool to have a little block on the bottom corner of the shirt with all the translations. Just small text in light grey or something? It might be too expensive though?

There is nothing classy about a polo shirt.Djuzuh wrote:polo looks more classy, but imo Tshirt is the way to go.
I mean, if you are gonna hang out with a keyboard community logo on a shirt, I assume the mood isn't very classy. ALso, it fits easier on everybody. And it's probably cheeper.

disagree with that.longweight wrote:...There is nothing classy about a polo shirt.
Also I'ld like to suggest to KISS with the design and logo I'm not too keen to be approached by "so you like computer keyboards" when standing at the store checkout.
