Nice "family" photo. I especially like the rare 8184692 IBM soft touch keyboard with greased springs to the left of the black 13H6705.

I guess you know how to spot a rare Model M better than anyone.
One of my favorites, as a collectible.
Finally, one that actually has a speaker!

After going through a few thousand keyboards and visiting old warehouses, we do have some experience.
Also the IBM 1394540 had a proper internal speaker for RS/6000 machines.

I remember my cousin owning an old IBM computer and I remember typing comfortably on the keyboard. Too bad that keyboard was long gone and into the trash.
It would be sweet to have a collection like that someday.

The colour schemes are very good too; it looks good with both white and grey case.
I was thinking the same thing. I would kill for one of those industrial minis.

I forgot to go on a quest to the attic while on vacation to look for keyboards! Hell, there should be one Model M there if it's not rotten and/or thrown away with the 286. Heh heh what I remember most from that computer is the "Frog Fuck 'game'" haha

I think the M13 and SSK are the single greatest Model Ms. Could survive happily without the rest.

Try yard sales. I've gotten a pair of Ms at one for really cheap once.Magna224 wrote:I want a model m pretty bad I go to all the goodwills in a 15 mile radius on a weekly basis. Mabey one day....
Also, a lot of people still have Ms. Maybe ask if you can dig through their basements. I know someone with at least 2 space saving minis in their basement.
