Cherry MX and diodes

Hey,

I haven't found anything on it yet, so I'll post my question.
I hope those of you with advanced knowledge on Cherry MX switches with diodes can help me out.

The question is, whether it is possible to add diodes to the housing of switches that don't have them. I don't think they have different housings for the switches, do they? And if it was possible, does anyone, by any chance, know the kind of diodes that cherry uses? On another board I read something about using 1N4148 diodes with the switches, though I couldn't figure out if it referred to diodes mounted on the pcb or inside the housing of a switch.

Thanks in advance!

Cya!

Yes, those will work and adding them is easy but you have to open the switch to do it.

Unless the matrix of the keyboard supports it, you can't just add diodes... Diodes will fit in all but MX Lock I believe.

Thank you very much, both of you. And I'm aware of that, The_Ed, but since I'm building the keyboard myself from scratch, it is no problem. ;)
