Of course, there is a PS/2 kext that I could try and the choc mini might work over PS/2 without the converters, but I don't know for sure. I'll still need to think it over since I understand that the keys are better on the choc mini. It's funny how this is never easy.

I just built a hackintosh mini-itx system and was planning on getting a Noppoo choc mini. Unfortunately, I've read that it is incompatible with macs unless you resort to a USB->PS/2->USB arrangement. My other choice was a Keycool 84, can anyone tell me if it has the same problem? I'm thinking it probably won't since its 6KRO not NKRO.

I have both. The KeyCool 84 works fine on Mac.
But there's another option if you want to use the Noppoo: someone made an updated USB HID driver that supports the Choc Mini: https://github.com/thefloweringash/ious ... /downloads
You also need to install KeyRemap4MacBook to make the modifier keys work: http://pqrs.org/macosx/keyremap4macbook/

Oh and as far as the keys being better on the Choc Mini goes, the KeyCool now has POM (on black models) & PBT (on white models), so there's not as much difference between the two any more.
