@fossala: bpiphany, the one who started the thread you linked to is formerly known as PrinsValium. So yes, what 7bit calls symmetric staggering is also reverse staggering of the left part of the keyboard.

I'm lefthanded and a mirrord keyboard sounds frightening. In what way is that better for lefthanded? A standard full size keyboard is designed for lefthanded with all the unnecessary keys to the right (numkeys) so you can get the mouse closer to you which is more ergonomic.

I guess you could put a smal usb hub in the keyboard and that might be a good idea if your going to add a pointing device in it so you just need one cable to the computer. But that is more a question of case design.

Seriously, if you want to make your keyboard habits incompatible with the keyboards 99% of the world uses then at least do it right. Symmetric staggering is the way to go, where each half is staggered according to each hand. A completely mirrored layout is just plain ridiculous.

The big hole in the middle is for a pointing stick. Does anybody know what diameter that hole must have?

This layout supports symmetric 1/4-stagger layout, 7bit, ANSI, ISO, HHKB-JP and matrix layout!

Because there is no space, the controller must be connected with wires to the PCB. I will add soldering pads for the whole matrix later.

The little holes below the switches are for the LEDs. Traces for them are still missing ...

As far as I know the Poker does not have space for a controller section above the key-field.

just get GH60, it's already in beta testing.... exactly this layout, it's a clone of 356mini layout allowing use of 101-key cherry sets without any additional keys needed.
