@Half-Saint: I'll use it, unless you can make an even better version without the wooden surface. Maybe cover it with lots of Cherry switches if you have them?

Is there a way to make the header pics not shown for me? Or a standard one? I really really disklike some.
Maybe we could make 2 sections. For kids and for men? For "blingbling" and for "computer grey" guys?
Isn't there a GH ping Award nomination for "...circlejerk...cap crafts..." at GH. Some pice here remind me of that.
I already tried to block the pics without success. Maybe there is a other soulution for me only possible?

There are plugins to override CSS properties so you could just set the background to a fixed picture or simply any color or black.

1. Get the Stylebot Chrome extension.
2. Reload any Deskthority tab, click on the small "css" text in the url bar and then on "Edit CSS" on the bottom of the Stylebot panel on the right.
3. Insert the following for no image at all:
or use this to set a fixed image:
(Change the url to any 980x190px image)
4. Hit save.
Thats it.

3. Insert the following for no image at all:

There are browsers for men and browsers for sheep. Guess which category if you use a browser by some ad broker which lobbies to erode your privacy and where you're not a user but the product.

2nd with more blue at the left, so DESKTHORITY gets a blue background.webwit wrote:I like 2 and 3 best. Now I have to pick one. Any other opinions?

Chrome doesn't track more or less than any other browser if you don't want it to. They removed the unique id per installation with the release of uhm I think Chrome 4. We have Chrome 23.webwit wrote:There are browsers for men and browsers for sheep. I can't use any other browser anymore anyway. The Omnibox is simply the best feature of all browsers and I can't live without it. ((search bookmarks, history, search engines, page content of pages still in the cache, open tabs etc. from within the URL bar) .
I've been using Chrome since the first public release

Here you can see how evil chrome is!ne0phyte wrote:...I can't use any other browser anymore anyway. ....
Other browsers get blocked, so you have to stick to chrome for the whole life of your system installation!

I use Firefox's vrapper plugin and it has that too. You only need to be able to work with a Vi command line...
EDIT: Wait, that's massive off-topic. Why did this CSS talk get into this thread anyway?

I'm not sure if the last two fit the other deskthority header images but they both look quite nice if you ask me

Yes, I picked the 3rd one, but a little but too much saturation or whatever in the last.

Yeahwebwit wrote:Yes, I picked the 3rd one, but a little but too much saturation or whatever in the last.
It wasn't enough saturation (that one was taken with my phone) and after fiddling around with it it is way too much and looks bad.
I'll make another one like that with more natural colors later later today.
PS: Did you notice that the keys in the third one are K, E, Y, B, O, A, R, D and S?
