This keyboard is ABD connection. Using iMate, it is used in Windows OS.
It is tactile. It is as heavy as Cherry MX White.
The spring is contained in the space bar and it is heavy.

That's interesting. Those switch internals are very similar to Monterey, with the "baling wire" as Ripster put it. If SMK didn't make the Monterey, then whoever copied SMK's switch housing style also copied their mechanism as well.

By the way, SMK is completely unrepresented on the Deskthority wiki. You should really upload those photos and create a page for the keyboard and for the switch.

Not sure what to call it though. You'll need a category "SMK switches". But the page name? Anyone have a preference for what we call this particular style of switch? SMK also did Alps clones for example, as well as other styles. (Apparently SMK is Strong Man Keyboard.)

Also, what is the pin arrangement? Is it compatible with Alps or Aruz?

(And a Ping Award 2012 runner up prize can go to Datadesk for a blatantly wrong keyboard layout for Macs, and for mixing up "Mac" and "MAC" a-gain.)

YIB. Yellowed in box.

I've got this Tulip keyboard for comparison, which is even more yellowed.

Do yours have the same internals? (Just in case one is a clone ;-)

Also, are they actually U mount?

*really hoping* that rzvw will post all his details to the wiki, as it's so fascinating how similar these appear to be to Montereys.

I never opened mine. I'm sure I've seen them posted elsewhere too in another keyboard (was it geekhack? was it sandy55?) and it also had the SMK logo in the back. Not sure if they are fully MX compatible. Have been pretty much ignoring it, except that it is actually a very nice clicky switch if I remember correctly.

I own SONY PCY-333 of the same Japanese as this.
In addition, the keyboard include the switch called "Monterey" is also owned.
I think that "Monterey" is not a copy but a switch of SMK, seeing the structure and the parts of a switch.

These switches differ in feedback.

SONY QuarterL PCY-333 = SMK + Switch / tactile
