The winners of these categories where a deskthority member wins:
Best relic/discovery 2012
Best input device mod 2012
Best deskthority forum contributor 2012
Best deskthority wiki contributor 2012
The Deskthority Award 2012
...will get a special Deskthority Award Clack Factory Wingnut Trophkey!
We commissioned the most famous of keycap artists clickclack to create an exclusive design and produce these trophy keycaps for the Awards. Category winners in this edition and future editions will be the only people ever getting one of these keycaps.
The gnomes at the Clack Factory are currently hard at work to produce the trophkeys. However, the design is like this, and the final keys will be in metallic:
DTA CF Wingnut Trophkey design
UPDATE: This prize has now been upgraded, instead of the 5 categories mentioned above, a Wingnut will now go to any category where a deskthority member or member project wins, with the exception of the *Ping* Award. Any winners in previously not included categories might receive the Wingnut sometime later, to allow the gnomes at the Clack Factory some extra time to make extra keys.

I'm sure this trophkey will troll DanGWanG into becoming a 70ties keyboard collector or beating Beardsmore in wiki edits.

In 2013 you should write the definite wiki guide to clickclack keys. Or post the definite mod to make your own clickclacks.

Congrats Wingnut winners! The Clack Factory has informed me that the keys have been finished and will be shipped this week. Would love to see pictures when you receive yours. How are you gonna explain this to the people around you?

Well, one more keycap doesn't look that much more odd than the mountain of keyboards next to me at work...
I get more odd looks in class, dismantling a keyboard taking pics though.

I asked the winners that if they ever get bored with it, to return it for a next winner instead of selling/trading, but also told them it is a gift and there's no contract or requirements, it is the property and decision of the winners.

Can you take a picture similar to that for using it as header image?
