This might be interesting... Could you accomodate alternative layouts? I'm interested in colemak, I guess I only need two extra keys with 'nubbins', T and N, since the rest is all the same when they have identical slope. I'd use it on a ErgoDox.

sure, no problem. I don't think 2 additional keys are going to impact that much on price. please confirm that that is all you need.bjarven wrote:This might be interesting... I'm waiting feedback from SP. I'll keep you posted
If the kit becomes too big I'll split the ergodox in a separate option

If it was up to me, I'd prefer them to all be this scheme.
It may also look good to have this scheme for the main keys and invert it for the modifiers.

You could start a GB with identical ones made by GMK. (That would probably take more time to happen though as it seems they are pretty busy)tjweir wrote:May I propose an alternate colourscheme?

Being this a mix and match set I'm inclined to make all keys on the same color

Definitely, a great colour scheme, it increases my desire of spending an embarrassing amount of moneytjweir wrote:May I propose an alternate colourscheme?
How about the 80s Cherry theme?Spoiler:
About GMK, may it require a too high MOQ? Right now the situation about GMK issue seems a bit tense, specially around GH polemic. Webwit made an interesting and wise point suggesting to control our desire of GMK stuff to avoid speculation and community ripping off. That way, in a near future we may order our stuff at not so abusive prices.

GMK has 400 MOQ (or was it 200) and very high prices. Also I think they miss the molds for some keys. I don't think it's an option for sphericals.
Regarding the family. I love higher profiles and I'd prefer an SA or SS set, but: 1) it wouldn't be an "universal" set (eg: no ergodox) 2) SA and SS both miss the 2.75 right shift key... don't ask me why.

I am in for some stuff, Need to cap two boards, one of them is a custom stagger-phantom Picture of one with caps
Number-row is a bit strange on that one btw.
ALSO, I would really like about 15 blank 1.0 caps and IF possible two or three sets of "Æ,Å and Ø" caps but that would be dreaming, I guess..

15 blanks! wow... we could make an option for 10 blanks 1.0 (+the 5 included) if there's really interest in that. As an European would be great to have various ISO kits but I'm no 7bit we would never reach a decent tier.Aleksander wrote:ALSO, I would really like about 15 blank 1.0 caps and IF possible two or three sets of "Æ,Å and Ø" caps but that would be dreaming, I guess..

well, that was the reason for the blanks, I can put them in my cnc-mill and backfill the letters.. so I can make custom caps
Is the additional keys one pack with all the additional keys, or is it one kit for shifts, one kit for ergodox etc?
ooooh snap, I need 3 2,75 keys for the bottom row..
there is no need for a ISO-kit, I just need the ÆØÅ

only 3 kits:Aleksander wrote:Is the additional keys one pack with all the additional keys, or is it one kit for shifts, one kit for ergodox etc?
1) TKL
2) NUMPAD
3) ALL THE OTHERS
I'll probably add a 4th for ergodox alone

tss tss,
the more you divide, the higher the price.
It's my opinion but one single group of keys is better, even if many people will have useless keys, they can selle exchange after.
And try not to agree to everyone's request or it'll end as a mess. Only a perl's guy like 7bit can manage such a complexity
Just my "old wise man on the mountain" 2 cents

I welcome any suggestion, that doesn't mean that I accept all of them In fact so far the set is still unaltered.Gilgam wrote:tss tss,

I agree that the fewer the options the better. On GH they are already suggesting to make mods options with different colors, but I'm not sold about that. But ergodox keys are needed for ergodox only... so.

Only key caps which cover 2 switches. On my symmetrically staggered Tipro, I only have these for the 2 function rows. But they are not required.Gilgam wrote:tipro may need some 2u keys too. I'm not sure i'mù not a tipro guy.
good luck organizing though

Colors
Okay color options. Cast your vote or I'll pick it for you
If we receive enough interest we could do 2 colors (one for keys, one for mods) otherwise we stick with one color scheme.
white on coffee or cream on coffee (original c64 idea)
mods might be white on grey (C64) or coffee on cream
Coffee on cream
mods cream on coffee
off white on blue
mods might be off white on charcoal
white on pebble
mods might be simply darker
(please don't look at key shape, just color)

I'd stick at the original idea, too much diversity makes it a lot more difficult to reach acceptable quantities.
