I seem to have forgot to post pictures of my mix match white I mentioned before... 100% legit Cherry oem keycaps, all doubleshots except the windowed caps lock, Windows and menu keys.

envious... did you keep a build log? I'll be interested how it all comes together as the process is still a little unclear in my head... how do the switches mount to the plate... whats a teensy and is it required on this kind of build... all those noob questions spinning in my head

I desoldered all the switches and removed the Cherry stabs.bugsaint wrote:envious... did you keep a build log? Then I soldered ErgoClear switches with the plate back to the PCB.
Just insert the Costar stabs, mount the PCB in the case, put some keycaps on, finished.

Sounds like a lot of de-soldering and soldering. I know myself well enough to realise I'm probably not up for that. I'll stick to changing keycaps and small mods.Acanthophis wrote:I desoldered all the switches and removed the Cherry stabs.bugsaint wrote:envious... did you keep a build log? Self-made wooden Poker case with white sp ds keys and japan flag modifiers from Techkeys
It has vintage blacks for the alpha keys and reds for the rest because I have been to lazy to change the rest. I also have a plate, which I still need to install. My second poker is at work, I'll post pictures soon.

Could you elaborate how did you make the case?TDub wrote:[...]

When I do the next one, I will take some more pictures and explain the process a little bit more. It's really not that complicated, but to do it well you need a good circular saw. I also have several improvements in mind for the next one (better pcb support, better support for the pcb screws, feet).

To prevent short circuit (I like to think so, either way, I can't imagine it's good for case/solder pins to make contact) and as a cushion.
I have the same in my Poker.

I have a Duck Poker case, but I've yet to get my hands on a poker. When I build it up though, I'll be sure to include the extra pad. That's a great idea.

Happy to say that I can finally join the club! I bought the last Poker that MechanicalKeyboards.com had in stock here in the US. Got it with MX-Blacks with ABS caps.

Was surprised at the strength of the springs in the blacks, but slowly getting used to them. After a couple of days of the standard key caps, I opted to throw on my CCnG and give them a whirl.

The bigger surprise was how much I enjoyed the Signature Plastics key caps on the MX-Blacks. When I had them on my MX-Blue Pure, I actually hated them. Seriously. They were awful and I quickly swapped back to the default Vortex OEM Profile caps. With me not bottoming out on the medium springs in the MX-Blacks, they key caps actually feel/sound a bit thicker and they are a joy to type on.

Wow! That's really saying something, because I've found the Blacks to be quite an adjustment from my Blues. What do you type on?pexon wrote:Nice board man, I love blacks, but I don't think they are heavy enough for me

I type on blues for typing and blacks for gaming and typing when its late. I'd love a black switch with some heavier springs. Sounds contradicting but I bought blues to try them really, but I love smashing the blacks and making no noise at night

I just bought a couple from 7bit to play with and use for my spacebar on my MX Black Poker.
