Reds and browns are 45g, as are Topre domes in the HHKB; Gateron clears are 35g, and some Topre domes on variable boards are 30g. Has anyone ever seen anything lighter? I'd love to have 20g-ish switches.

Don’t breathe when typing, then, as you could unintentionally actuate keys.thatllbeme wrote: ↑Reds and browns are 45g, as are Topre domes in the HHKB; Gateron clears are 35g, and some Topre domes on variable boards are 30g. Has anyone ever seen anything lighter? I'd love to have 20g-ish switches.

That is precisely the effect I'm going for. Maybe I should look into mouse keys - I would like a longer travel distance than that though.kbdfr wrote: ↑Don’t breathe when typing, then, as you could unintentionally actuate keys.thatllbeme wrote: ↑Reds and browns are 45g, as are Topre domes in the HHKB; Gateron clears are 35g, and some Topre domes on variable boards are 30g. That is... impressive. Probably going to be me in the next few years at the rate I'm going. I love the idea, and 10g keys! Perfect. Thanks!Wilkie wrote: ↑This is what your future looks like: http://mykeyboard.co.uk/microswitch/

30g Topre feels almost linear though...mars wrote: ↑45g topre domes are not comparable to 45g cherry switches, as the force graph is different.

Not to me! I love it. It's like 55g and 45g Topre, but faster. The tactile swing is still there, very much intact to my fingers.
That's on a full 30g board. Admittedly, it feels off on an ergo weighted Realforce.
