This pic indicates a new cost reduced Cherry Corp switch (or a VERY good copy of the cruciform stem with thicker horizontal vs vertical part of the cross.

I love how those "professional hardware reviewers" on youtube "review" those keyboards.
Didn't get to see the switches in any of their videos. The French guy said he got the Dearmo at Cebit, I still think only the other one could be legit. If at all.

The "keyboard condoms" that I have seen before have had smaller circular holes that attached to the key cap's stem. This seems to have a larger hole that does not affect the action.
I think that the sheet covering the switches might just be a cheap and efficient way of getting soft landing pads without having to attach them manually to each key.
I just hope that there is some air between the key cap and the rubber when the key is at the bottom -- otherwise, if the keycap seals against the rubber then there can be a weird suction effect causing the key to stay pressed for a second more after you have released it.

I've asked the guy at OCN to poke at it a bit. Could be a simple thin plastic shell like the keyboard covers that come with Filcos but opaque.

Reading the newegg reviews I doubt this is an official cherry switch "with a condom on it". It is an imitation at best. Just read all of the reviews where the keys malfunction after 2 weeks of usage. Cherry switches wouldn't do this me thinks.

no one noticed the seemingly huge distance between the edges of the switch on to the other?
It can be seen on the Dearmo "W" pic but is better visible on neweggs pic. Imo no way that this is a regular MX switch with even a rubber cover on top of that, not even if its condom thin on the sides. Or they messed with the keycaps width a lot.
Furthermore the switch seems to have much less height compared to the width, adding the recessed stem on top of that this doesn't fit to the rather cubic MX in my mind.
If this truly is an OEM cherry switch, i'ld throw out a wild theory of a MX 2.0, cheaper, waterproof, probably not openable and with less height (would be the only pro imo).
