I'm curious if anyone here might have been following this auction, and in particular, I'd like to [virtually] meet and hopefully get to know the individual whom I outbid on this auction.
If they are here, I'd like to offer them a bit of a polite apology for outbidding them, but also, learn more about why they were THAT interested in this particular keyboard.
Was it just the Clare-Pendar keyswitches? Was it the colorful keycaps? OR, is there someone ELSE who shares my obsession with the early-model Entrex Data/Scopes and the Entrex 480 Key-To-Disk system? I'd really love to know, so I'm hoping that this post will draw this attention of the other individual.
For reference, I suppose I should share why I am so seriously interested in this keyboard: It's because, evidently it's from the first version of the Entrex Data/Scope Keystation (terminal) that were sold with the Entrex 480 Key-To-Disk system. I've been quite committed to restoring all known surviving aspects of this system for nearly a decade now, and this keyboard is the first I've ever seen of any components from the early(ist?) version of these Data/Scope Keystation terminals.
I have several versions of this these keystation terminals, to include this keyboard layout, BUT they are all German versions, that I had to travel to Europe to acquire. As a result, they are the mid-late 1970s version of this keystation terminal that would have been assembled/manufactured in Paderborn Germany, and sold to the European market.
So, this keyboard is my first glimpse into what the first version of this keystation terminal had when originally manufactured in the USA in 1970.
Here's the dedicated web page I created for this keyboard auction:

And my whole website dedicated to restoring and preserving these Entrex 480 systems and keystations

So, as Paul Harvey would say, and NOW you know...the REST of the story...
For reference, I posted about what apparently became the later version of this keyboard from KeyTronic here: viewtopic.php?p=445515#p445515
And the later version in a more "Trapezoid" shape (post with a similar theme) here: viewtopic.php?p=457390&hilit=entrex#p457390
